RSA – What you need to know!

The _secpro team loves a good conference. The problem is finding great ones that fit around our work schedule. That’s why RSA has had us grinning gleefully all week – over 500 different events going on, with many of them being recorded for later consumption. Not a bad start. But with the current RSA Conference focusing on everything from CSSP to DevOps, Blue Team Strategies to career improvement, we couldn’t selfishly enjoy this conference from the depths of the _secpro writing room. We had to share it with you!

As you can imagine, summing up an event with over 500 different talks is a little tricky. We’re not going to give you a catalogue of events because 1) that wouldn’t be a very exciting article and 2) you can just consult the RSA Conference page for that (check it out here!) in your own free time. Instead, we’re going to give you a rundown on what we are looking forward to and what we believe you can’t afford to miss.

What is RSA?

If you’ve never heard of RSA, it’s probably best you start reading here. If you’re a long-time fan, skip to the next section instead.

Let’s start with RSA means – Rivest, Shamir, and Adleman. Ring any bells? We’re talking about cryptographic experts here, hence why RSA Security has been a world leader in various types of cybersecurity since its foundation in the 1980s.

What is the RSA Conference?

The RSA Conference is an annual cybersecurity event that brings together professionals from around the world.
